Chocolat Chaud

There’s nothing like a hot cup of chocolat chaud on a cold winter evening! Rich, intense, and absolute heaven for chocolate lovers. I like to top it with luscious whipped cream and some shaved chocolate. Perfection!

 1 ¼ cups full fat milk
 ¾ cup heavy cream
 200 g 70% dark chocolate, finely chopped
 1 tsp honey, plus more if needed
 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
 Whipped cream, to serve
 Shaved chocolate to serve

Gently heat the milk and cream in a small saucepan until small bubbles appear on the surface. Do not allow the mixture to boil.

Remove from the heat. Stir in the chopped chocolate, returning the saucepan on low heat if needed for the chocolate to melt completely. Add the honey and cinnamon. Whisk until combined.

Serve warm in large cups, topped with lots of whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Enjoy!
